Music and more welcome guests to CAPPE fund raiser

“Save It, Don’t Pave It” was a new fund raiser for Citizens Against the Pellissippi Parkway Extension, but their message remained consistent. The non-profit citizens group strives to educate the public about issues regarding the impact of the proposed Pellissippi Parkway Extension with the hope of stopping it.

The “Save It, Don’t Pave It” fund raiser was held at the Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson Buell Shed, with food, music and information for attendees. More than 150 attended, Nina Gregg, a CAPPE director, said was excellent for the new fund raiser. CAPPE also has an annual Preservation Party and a ChiliFest as gatherings and fund raisers. With the success of the new fund raiser, Gregg said several were suggesting that the group continue it as well.
