2008 Foothills Fall Festival concerts sell out

The Foothills Fall Festival entertainment portion, presented by the City of Maryville, has sold out for the Oct. 10-12 event.

Organizers anticipated a quick sell out this year after last year’s event sold out in six weeks. After four weeks, the festival has sold out again. General admission tickets were sold out at the pre-season rate of $35. A few of the reserved seats are still available include a few Gold seats for Friday night only at $65, and approximately one hundred bronze level seats for the weekend at $85. These tickets may be purchased only through Tickets Unlimited at www.knoxvilletickets.com or by calling 865-656-4444.

The Festival is well known for providing a great concert series for an exceptional price. This year is no different with acts like Foreigner, Josh Turner, Kenny Rogers, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, Jason Michael Carroll, Ashton Shepherd and The Road Hammers.

“Many return visitors purchased their tickets early this year to avoid being left without them. It is as important as ever that our families find value for their entertainment dollars. The festival sponsors, City of Maryville administration and city officials work hard to continue to offer such a great value and we are glad to see this response from the community,” said City Manager Greg McClain.

Those without tickets can still get in on the fun all weekend long as both in the Children’s Adventure Land and the Downtown Arts and Crafts show will be free. There will be live music, shows, activities, and lots of great food will be packed into downtown Maryville.

Admission to the Arts and Crafts and Children’s Adventure Land is free. Concerts at Theater in the Park require a ticket. The hours of operation for this year’s arts and crafts showcase and Children’s Adventure Land are 12 - 6 on Friday and Sunday, 10 - 6 on Saturday. Volunteer applications are currently being accepted.

The Festival is sponsored by Ruby Tuesday, GreenBank, First Tennessee, DENSO, Massey Electric, Clayton Homes, The U.S. Army, the City of Maryville, and many supporting companies.
