Rotary to meet

The Rotary Club of Maryville meets every week at noon on Thursdays at Green Meadow Country Club. The following speakers are scheduled for the October meetings.

• Oct. 9: Ray Stowers, D.O., F.A.C.O.F.P.,vice president and dean, Lincoln Memorial University, DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Stowers will talk about the programs of the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine at LMU.

• Oct. 16: Fritz G. Polite, assistant professor, sports management, University of Tennessee. Dr. Polite has been a football coach, player and administrator at the college and professional levels and will talk about sports management and student leadership.

• Oct. 23: Stephanie Thompson, Director, Maryville City School System. Thompson will give an update on the Maryville School System Plans.

• Oct. 30: Herb Handly, executive vice president of Tourism, Smoky Mountain Convention and Visitors Bureau. Handly, a Maryville Rotary Club past-president, will address tourism in Blount County.
