ETMG hosts flu shot clinic in October and November

East Tennessee Medical Group will host a flu shot clinic Oct.13- Nov. 21 at their facility at 266 Joule St., Alcoa.

The clinic will run Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. No appointments are necessary, and most insurance is accepted.

Each year, millions of people are affected by the flu, a viral infection in the nose, throat and lungs. Those at high risk for the flu include:

• All adults aged 65 years or older

• All women who are or will be pregnant during the flu season

• Individuals who have long-term health problems

• Caregivers and household contacts of children less than 6 months of age
