Hope For Today draws crowd with supper and Gospel music
A crowd turned out at First Baptist Church of Maryville’s Family Life Center Sept. 6 for good food, fun music and a great cause.
The bean supper fundraiser was organized for Hope for Today’s Project CARE which provides assistance for needy cancer patients in treatment who reside in Blount County. All funds raised were designated to stay in Blount County, organizers said. Performing at the event were Still Blessed and Twice Born, both Southern Gospel groups.
The mouth-watering menu for the evening featured beans, cornbread, a beverage and dessert.
