Fine Arts Blount celebrated the grand opening of their new ArtSpace location in downtown with a ribbon cutting on Halloween, Oct. 31, during Last Friday Art Walk.
The FAB gallery is located on East Broadway Avenue. Incoming FAB president Katie Kinney, manager of Preservation Plaza, said that for a long time there wasn’t a major gallery in this area.
“I think one of the reasons that Last Friday Art Walks are going so well and galleries in general are doing well is because the general population wants this and needs this,” Kinney said. “They’re learning and growing and seeing lots of things they’ve never seen before.”
