United Way presents training and enrichment seminar

Wednesday, June 4

Representative Doug Overbey will facilitate a panel on collaborations at the upcoming Nonprofit Training and Enrichment Seminar on June 4 at Maryville College.

The panel will focus on how nonprofit organizations can work together in their community to create a greater impact, and will include representatives from the seminar’s sponsoring organizations: the Blount County Chamber Foundation, the Center for Strong Communities at Maryville College and United Way of Blount County.

Nationally renowned nonprofit management consultant Peggy Morrison Outon of the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management of Robert Morris University will be the keynote speaker, kicking off the event with an address on strategic planning.

Sessions will address public relations, outcomes and measurements, innovative fund-raising through charitable gaming, and how to establish a nonprofit organization.
