Goin’ Postal Maryville, a local packing and shipping store located at 1776 W Lamar Alexander Parkway in Maryville, offers cheerful and professional service, low shipping rates, and long hours without long lines. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Goin’ Postal’s owners, Robert and Inessa Sloan, are a husband and wife team. Robert has more than 20 years experience in the computer industry and Inessa is an Ebay Power Seller with more than 20,000 completed auctions and years of professional packing and shipping experience.

The Sloans are excited to be part of the business and social landscapes of Maryville and are members of the Blount County Chamber of Commerce. As the owners of a new business, the Sloans are eager to serve the varied business and personal needs of the new store’s customers, and they are also excited to begin hosting some of the chain’s unusual community involvement activities.

The Goin’ Postal franchise chain of over 300 stores is known for its low rates on shipping and mailing, old-fashioned customer care, wide variety of shipping and mailing options, and for its hands-on approach to community involvement. Goin’ Postal store owners advertise in some traditional ways, but are taught by the franchisor to allocate funds and elbow grease toward doing something on a more personal level in order to improve the quality of families’ lives within their towns and cities nationwide. President and co-founder of the chain, Dr. M.J. Price says, “Anyone can write a check to a charity. What we want to see are our store owners actually doing something, with their own two hands and their hearts engaged, and we’re pleased to say that they never disappoint us.”

Examples of the chain’s unique grassroots activities for community involvement include waterless dog washes to promote environmentally conscious usage of resources while benefiting local animal shelters, bike rodeos to promote bicycle safety in a fun manner, collection drives to amass school supplies for indigent schoolchildren, child safety and ID events, kite flying demonstrations, contests, family picnics and kite decorating contests to celebrate “National Kite Month,” Patriot Day (September 11) sing-a-longs, the making and sending of homemade personalized birthday cards to children in foster care and more.

Goin’ Postal is an authorized shipper for FedEx, DHL, and United States Postal Service and also offers freight shipping for bulky and heavy items, United States Postal Service/Post Office services such as stamps sold at face value and Priority Mail, Media Mail, Certified Return Receipt Mail and more. Other services and products include faxing, copying, and printing services, mailbox rentals, Ebay trading assistants, ink cartridge refills, specialty and all-occasion greeting cards, custom photographic gift items such as weatherproof life-size photographic stand-ups of your friends and pets, mugs, license plates and mouse pads, packing peanuts, tape, boxes, mailing tubes, bubble wrap.
