Blount Memorial Hospital offers morning and day classes in diabetes management as well as a diabetes support group in June. Physician referral and an initial evaluation are required prior to attending a class session. The classes are recognized by the American Diabetes Association and covered by most insurance carriers.
A morning class series meets from 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesday and Thursday, June 3 and 5 in the Blount Memorial Cancer Center conference room 1 on the center’s second floor.
A day class meets from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 in the Blount Memorial Cancer Center conference room 1 on the center’s second floor.
The Diabetes Support Group will meet from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10 in the Blount Memorial Cancer Center conference room 1 on the center’s second floor.
Each participant may bring one guest to any of the classes or the support group. For more information, call the hospital’s Diabetes Management Center at 865-977-5767.
