Sims has been the Lady Mountaineer setter the last four seasons and was named District 4AAA Setter of the Year during her final campaign last fall. Sims, a two-time All-Blount County selection, holds the Heritage assists record with 2,056 for a career.
“Kari Sims is an outstanding student athlete,” Brevard coach Brenda Skeffington said. “I am thrilled to have her sign with Brevard College. When Kari visited Brevard College and stepped on the court for a tryout, she fit in right away.
“Kari has beautiful hands and she is very smart. She already has the ability to set a quick offense and has a strong, consistent backset. Our offense at Brevard College is quick and our middles and right side hitters are very active in the rotation. Kari will be an asset to our program.”
