FurlCalvin Taylor, pianist extraordinaire, will perform at Maryville Adventist Church on May 10 during the morning service and again at 7:30 p.m.
Composer, pianist, and organist Calvin Taylor was drawn to music as a young child. The active cultural and musical life of church provided his earliest impressions and inspiration. He began playing piano in all keys at 5, and by 14 was serving as organist in several southern California churches.
Taylor currently has 10 albums produced. His talents in improvisations from hymns to classical music have produced world-wide recognition for his work. He has also composed music for piano, organ and orchestra.
Taylor has toured throughout the world, playing in North and South America, Europe, and the Far East. As arranger and composer, his music has been heard and enjoyed by millions.
