MHS forensic team wins big at district competition

The Maryville High Forensic Team competed in district competition on March 1 at Farragut High. The following students qualified for the State of Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League Forensic Competition in Clarksville in April and took home trophies. They are Dylan Nascimbeni, senior, first place in extemporaneous speech; Elizabeth Warriner, freshman first place in dramatic interpretation; Brooke King, freshman, fourth place in dramatic interpretation; Chip Woods, freshman, second place in original oratory; Chris Jones, freshman, second place in storytelling; Jackie Keeney, freshman, fifth place in storytelling; Erica Lafollette, freshman, fourth place in solo acting; John Schmidt, freshman, fifth place in prose interpretation; Brooke Fields, sophomore, fourth place poetry interpretation; Terrie Brown, senior, will be competing at state in set design; Nell Koneczny, sophomore, will be competing at state in costume design. The MHS Forensic Team is coached by drama teacher, Leslie Capozzoli.
