Fitness classes to be held at Parks & Rec

Parks & Rec is offering several fitness classes this Spring. An outdoor Boot Camp will be offered for adults starting the week of March 24 for four week increments. An early morning class will be held on Mondays and Fridays and an evening class will be offered on Tuesdays. A Boot Camp Fitness for Teens class will be held as well on Wednesdays at the Everett Recreation Center from 4:15 - 5 p.m. These classes are "results driven" and are conducted utilizing a military-style format (for all levels), coupled with the most progressive, innovative, and creative exercises in fitness. Workouts will be challenging, but fun with high energy and will vary each time.

A racquet strength class for female tennis players will be offered for four weeks starting April 9 for four-week sessions. This small group training will specifically condition each fitness component to meet the physical demands of tennis. It will focus on strength, power, agility, flexibility, quickness, stamina, and core strength. The class will be held from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. at the Everett Recreation Center.

Yoga in the park will start April 15 for eight weeks and continue with sessions through the Summer. The class will be held in Springbrook Park from 9 - 9:45 a.m. In case of inclement weather, classes will be held at the Springbrook Recreation Center.
