Applications are now available for the Charles M. Hall Scholarships. These scholarships are available for seniors nationwide with a grade point average of 3.0 who plan to attend a two year or four year college. The forms may be picked up at the local high schools from the guidance counselors or at the Martin Luther King Center on Franklin Street in Alcoa. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 15.
Charles M. Hall School closed in 1968 but was formally located where the Alcoa Center is currently located between Watt and Howe Streets in Alcoa. The scholarship fund was established to keep the name of the school alive and since being established in 1990, more than 53 scholarships have been awarded.
