Michelle Gruetzmacher is a wife and mother of three. She says one of her passions is her family, and the other is Girl Scouting. She recently helped organize the second annual Girls Scouts Father/Daughter dance at Everett High School. “I just enjoy spending time with the girls and watching them grow and change and mature. It’s brought a lot of joy to my life.”

“My husband. He is the best husband and father anyone could ever hope for.”
What was your first car?
“A Chevy Monza Spyder.”

“Overflowing. I’m always so busy.”
What was your first paying job?
“Engraving cheap, silver jewelry at a shop in downtown Gatlinburg.”
If you could do one impulsive thing, unrestricted by cost, what would it be?
“A three-month cruise to anywhere.”
What are you guilty of?
“Being too sensitive.”
What is one thing you have always wanted to do but haven’t?
“Become a country music singer. I’ve always wanted to sing since I was a kid but there’s absolutely no way. I like all kinds of music, and that was always my dream.”
What is your favorite material possession?
“My engagement ring.”

“ ‘Cold Fire’ by Dean Koontz.”

“When my friends “pantsed” me during eighth grade basketball practice in front our male coach.”
When you were 5 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
“A nurse, but now I can’t stand the sight of blood.”
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
“Be more spontaneous. I have to think everything out before I do it.”
With whom, living or dead, would you most like to have a long lunch?
“My mamaw Ruby Reagan. She had 11 grandchildren, and we each thought we were her favorite. I miss her so much.”
What do you hate?
“Liars. I just can’t stand anyone who’s not truthful. It bugs me.”
What is your all-time favorite movie?
“ ‘Field of Dreams.’ I could watch it over and over. I love that movie. I guess it’s something with him and his dad and them reconnecting.”
What is the best book you’ve ever read?
“ ‘Gap Creek’ by Robert Morgan. It was set in that time period I like, the late 1800s. With all the hardships they went through, it’s interesting to me how life was so different.”
Would you travel in space?
If you could go back in time for a week, what time period or year would you visit?
“The late 1800s or early 1900s. I think it would give me a great appreciation for all the modern conveniences we have.”
What is the best present you ever received in a box?
“My engagement ring.”
Did you ever get paddled in school and if so, why?
“Yes, several times for chewing gum. I guess I was a slow learner.”
