The fourth and fifth grades at Eagleton Elementary School were filled with dogs for a few days this year.
“101 Dalmatians” was presented by the choirs of the fourth and fifth grade classes, bringing the children’s talents at playing canines on stage to light! The presentations, held May 16-18, was under the direction of teacher Kim Juday.
The choir had about 80 cast members and 20 choir members in this play. Practice began in March, and the audience knew that the children’s hard work paid off and showed in their performances.
The play was based on the original Walt Disney version of the “101 Dalmatians” story. It included Cruella DeVil, Roger and Anita, Perdita and Pongo, and lots of puppies.
Teachers and members of the choir said they appreciated the support of all who donated money and helped with the performance, as well as those who came to watch the show.
The choir presents a play every other spring. This year, they received a special honor when they were asked to perform on WBIR-TVs “Live at Five Christmas Eve Special.”
