The $1 million went unclaimed, but the first annual Bud Allison Memorial Lodge #9 Golf Tournament was successful for golfers and the Fraternal Order of Police alike.
Held in early April, the FOP golf tournament was new this year, and one hole at Pine Lakes Golf Course carried a $1 million prize if anyone secured a Hole-in -One.
No one did, but there was still plenty of fun and action on the greens. Prizes were awarded for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and the top 3 flights in both morning and afternoon sessions.
Golfers contributed $50 per person to play in the benefit tournament, with proceeds going to benefit FOP charities.
