Mike’s Volunteer Navy will hold a “Mike Is Right” picnic and pep rally from 3 - 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Louisville Point Park to celebrate Judge Mike Meares’ campaign for election as Circuit Court Judge, Division 2. He was appointed to this position one year ago by Governor Phil Bredesen. Blount County local elections are August 7.
The event’s theme of “Mike Is Right” highlights Judge Meares’ refusal to accept campaign contributions from lawyers and to remove politics from the Blount County Court House.
