National audio visual organization announces Dealer Advisory Council representatives

USAV Group, a national association of leading professional audiovisual integrators, recently held elections for its Dealer Advisory Council (DAC). Jay Armand, president/COO of Advanced AV, West Chester, Pa., and Mike White, president/CEO of Multi-Media Solutions, Alcoa, Tenn., were re-elected to serve their second two-year term. They join Bruce Banbury, president of Video Systems of Carolinas, Charlotte, NC, and Jim Tierney, CFO of Tierney Brothers, Minneapolis, Minn., the other two members of the council.

The DAC was formed in 2005 to support growth and provide strategic direction for USAV Group.

“Our organization is focused on integrated AV solutions,” said KC Schwarz, USAV’s CEO. “By sharing ideas, best practices, and goals we are helping our dealer integrators move to the next level. Leadership provided by our Dealer Advisory Council is vital to the USAV’s success. We are honored to have these gentlemen helping us move the organization forward.”

During the past year USAV’s DAC has led in positioning USAV’s Dealer Integrators as the Nations premier digital signage integration team. Mike White leads this initiative within USAV. In 2008-2009, the USAV’s strategic priorities are to implement green initiatives for environmentally sustainable AV projects and to continue the group’s focus on technical excellence through InfoComm’s ANSI based CTS certification program.

USAV Group, established in 2001, is a professionally managed national association of leading professional Audio Visual integrators. The organization’s goal is to leverage the experience and core competencies of its Dealer Integrators, preferred manufacturer partners, and management to meet the needs of its clients and consultants locally and nationwide.
