Judy Clabough has been named community outreach coordinator for the Blount Memorial Foundation and Community Outreach.
In her new position, Clabough will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Blount County Community Health Initiative and the action teams formed from the priorities identified by the community. Clabough also will assist in supporting the efforts and work of the Blount Memorial Foundation.
Clabough’s arrival coincides with the organization merger of the Blount Memorial Foundation and Community Outreach, which have joined together to continue to provide financial support and advocacy for programs that improve the health and well-being of the entire community.
“This is a logical step, particularly since the Foundation and the Community Health Initiative have long been partners in coordinating and securing resources to promote a healthier community,” says Blount Memorial Foundation and Community Outreach executive director Jane Andrews. “We are looking forward to combining efforts, and having a knowledgeable Blount Countian like Judy coordinate these activities is a win for everyone.”
Clabough graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Previously, she was employed as the director of development for the Knoxville chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Clabough also served as a member of the Blount Memorial Foundation board of directors from 1999-2003.
