Mineralogie founder shares beauty tips with LaNese spa customers

The creator of an exclusive brand of cosmetics visited Maryville recently to share beauty tips and chat with customers at Maryville’s newest day spa.

Mary Van, founder of Mineralogie, came to LaNese Salon and Spa on June 12.

Co-owner Denise Evans enjoyed meeting Van.

“It was wonderful. We were privileged to have her come to Blount County for the ladies of the community,” Evans said. “She was so impressed with all the ladies who were here and how naturally beautiful the women of this area are.”

Evans said the women on hand learned more about how to apply their makeup, how to compliment their skin and eyes with make up and the benefits of Van’s make up because it is all natural.

The salon owner said Mineralogy cosmetics are the only make up with an SPF of 27 and the products have no talc. “It’s good for the skin and helps protect it from the sun,” she said.

Evans said Mineralogy has added vitamins and has no mineral oils. The salon co-owner said the packaging for Van’s cosmetics are done in recycled paper using soy ink. “It’s all Earth-friendly,” she said.
