Children’s theatre group to hold yard sale fundraiser

Southern Kids in Theatre (SKIT) will be holding a HUGE yard sale to benefit their children’s theatre program from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12, at the SKIT Studio, 507 Ellis Avenue in Maryville.

Close to 50 families have contributed, resulting in an array of goods; from clothing, toys, kitchen appliances, exercise equipment, and lots more. All proceeds from this benefit fundraiser will go directly to the children’s theatre group.

Because SKIT is a non-profit Production Company, community support such as this is essential in order to provide successful and top-quality programs and performances.

Through this invaluable support, scholarships can be provided for students, and SKIT is also able to continue to provide complimentary performance tickets for several groups of at-risk children in Knox and Blount counties. For more information or directions to the studio, call 865-982-0600.
