TNT gymnasts came home with the gold from the Flip Fest Invitational held at the Knoxville Convention Center January 19-21. First place plaques were awarded to optional competitors Lauren Kiningham in the Level 7 Child division, Amy Kiningham in the Level 7 Senior division, and Ashley Thompson in the Level 8 Junior division with scores of 37.65, 36.525, and 36.05 respectively. Lauren medaled for first on vault with a score of 9.65, second on bars with a 9.3, and first on floor with a 9.425. Amy was awarded second place on vault with a 9.45, first on bars with an 8.8, and first on beam with a 9.175. Ashley received second place on vault with an 8.8, second place on bars with a 9.225, and third place on floor with a 9.375.
Brianna Bonner was rewarded with second place for her impressive 37.95 all around score as a Prep Op 3 performance with an all around score of 37.95. Brianna placed third on beam and floor with scores of 9.65 and 9.625.
The Prep Op 2 team members were Brianna McGuffin, Reagan Wilson, Katie Snyder, Kate Hudson, and Montana Newroth. Brianna scored a 37.175 all around for third place. She placed first on vault with a 9.25 and third on bars with a 9.475. Reagan scored a 9.075 on vault for third place. Kate received second place on beam with a 9.475.
Prep Op 1 gymnasts Sarah Caux, Chelsey DeVooght, Claire Sundahl and Hannah Lawson received the third place team award. Sarah placed second all around with a 37.7. She scored a 9.85 on vault for first place and 9.5 on bars for second place. Chelsey received the third place all around position with a 37.375. Claire scored a 9.425 on floor for second place.
TNT Gymnastics is coached by Kevin McAfee and Stephanie Delapp. The gym is located on Clydesdale Street in Maryville.
