The Maryville College Community Concert Band will begin rehearsals for its 2008 concert season Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Maryville High music building band room. The band is seeking local brass, woodwind and percussion players with concert band experience to be a part of this excellent musical organization. Serious high school musicians are also encouraged to participate.
The band room is located behind the high school toward the football field. The building has a “Music” sign above the door. The band’s 2008 performance schedule includes a public spring concert at the college on April 20 and a fall concert at a yet to be determined location.
The band’s musicians are all ages and are from Blount County and surrounding communities.
