In response to customer’s wishes, Sun Up Diner in Maryville is adding a seventh day to their restaurant and refining their morning hours. The restaurant at 1720 West Broadway Ave. will open on Sunday beginning Jan. 13 and new hours went into effect this week.
Manager Fran Bennett said new hours are from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
“We’ve had a great response, but we missed more calls on Sunday than we got all day long,” she said. “We’ll have the same menus, and we’ll have Blue Plate Specials. It’s not going to be a brunch.”
One addition will be a waffle bar that will be available only on Sundays. As with the other days, breakfast will be available from morning until close.
As a special February treat, Sun Up will open for dinner on Valentine’s Day, with a set menu of prime rib, twice-baked potatoes, green bean bundles and two dessert choices. For reservations call 865-983-1005.
