Blount County Businesswomen’s Luncheon -- will be Wednesday, Jan. 9, from noon to 1 p.m. The program will be “Laying Aside Hindrances: Running With Freedom,” with speaker Marisa Lykins from Love 89’s Breakfast Crew . Blount County Theater Group -- is looking for actors and actresses of all ages and types in the Blount County area who are interested in forming a new theatrical group to help provide high quality entertainment in the Blount County area. Beginning in January, the group will meet on a regular basis to explore various acting techniques through games, exercises, improvisation and light scene work. They will also develop a list of possible productions for the future with a goal of eventually performing full productions of plays.
