The Maryville High girl’s basketball camp -- will be held at Maryville High James C. Campbell gymnasium, May 27 through 30. Girls entering grades 1 through 9 in the next school year may attend. Camp will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the gym will open at 8 a.m. for those who need to arrive early. Late registration and camper check-in will be May 27, from 8 to -8:45 a.m. The cost is $75, which includes a T-shirt, a compact size Lady Rebel basketball and a certificate. Fairview United Methodist Church -- will hold their annual dessert bar and auction on Friday, Feb. 29, to raise funds for their summer mission tour to Chicago. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the dessert bar and silent auction, and the live auction will begin at 6:45 p.m., with professional auctioneer Robbie Franklin. The auction will include many items donated from the community, such as zoo and aquarium tickets, passes to Biltmore, and tickets to sporting events such as Smokies baseball and Icebear Hockey games. Widows support group -- will meet Saturdays, March 8, 15 and 22 at St. Paul Lutheran Church located at 429 Sandy Springs Road in Maryville. These are nondenominational meetings. Handouts and discussions address daily issues and stages one might experience during their grief journey. There is no charge. Call facilitator Alice Mansmith 865-856-2570 for more information.

Adult Children Anonymous – a 12- Step support group for adults who grew up in homes with dysfunction such as alcoholism, addiction, workaholism, abandonment, neglect, abuse, etc. Meetings are free, non-smoking, anonymous and confidential. Maryville’s weight loss surgery support group -- meets at 10 a.m., the second Saturday of each month, at Pellissippi State College Library in Maryville. The purpose of this group is for those who are considering gastric surgery, Bypass or Band, for weight loss. Questions and answers from people who have gone through the procedure. Find out the good and bad news about this major surgery.

The Joshua Resource Center -- is enrolling participants for the New Beginnings CWJC program. Women who may feel isolated, alone and without hope will find a safe place to refocus, be trained in a variety of life skills, work skills and experience the love of Christ. More than Conquerors -- a support group for people dealing with chronic pain, chronic fatigue and/or a chronic illness meets every Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. Praise and worship is at 7 p.m. Attendance in the praise and worship program is not required, but recommended.
