When the Alcoa High School Class of 1967 got together in late fall, there was one tradition they wanted to re-live. The bridge down the street from the high school, which is regularly painted with messages, needed a fresh coat of paint to help celebrate their reunion, they decided.
So a group of the classmates braved the cold and got together in the wee-hours of the morning to leave their mark -- if only temporarily -- on the school and neighborhood. They painted the bridge with “Alcoa ‘67 Class” on one side and “AHS Class of 1967” on the other bridge, along with the names or initials of the artists.
