If you were stranded on an island, what one thing would you take?
“A endless supply of matches.”
If you could do one impulsive thing, unrestricted by cost, what would it be?
“To be able to do all my regular clients’ hair for free, at least once. Remember, I have around 400 regular clients.”
What task or activity have you still not gotten around to doing?
“Reading the Bible all the way through, but I’m working on it.”
What’s your favorite television or movie quote?
“Life’s like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re gonna get,” Forrest Gump.
What are you guilty of?
“Sometimes of ‘Opening mouth and inserting foot.’”
What is one thing you have always wanted to do but haven’t?
“Wax and trim Andy Rooney’s eyebrows. Wow!”
Do you think there is life on other planets?
“No...... just no.”
What is your favorite material possession?
“My home. I think your home should be your favorite place.”
Who has been the most influential person in the 20th century?
“My late father-in-law, Virgil Fife. He showed me how to live a life with Christ, and you don’t have to be perfect to do it.”
What was your most embarrassing moment?
“Missing a step and falling down for what seemed like 30 minutes while holding a child’s hand. This was happening while my friend Bethany was watching in amazement at my expression during Nursery Duty at our church.
Why did you pursue the career you chose?
“Because I wanted to make people happy and feel good about themselves. I think our outward appearance helps set our moods. Just ask any woman who’s having a ‘bad hair day.’”
What is one word others often use to describe you and why?
“Obsessive compulsive disorder, because I am. I like things a certain way. It does help me with hair. It probably takes me longer than other stylists because I take my time and get every little hair. It’s just my thing.”
When you were 5 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
“A boy, just like my brothers. It’s hard to believe now, but I was a radical Tom-boy.”

“To be more disciplined in exercise, diet and reading. I’m working on all these things in 2008.”
What is your passion?
“Hair design/color and girls’ ministry.”
With whom, living or dead, would you most like to have a long lunch?
“Mary, Jesus’ mother. You would get the whole story first hand. The resurrection, his whole story. It’s kind of selfish because then I wouldn’t have to rely on my faith, I would know it firsthand. That’s why I never understood doubting Thomas. How could you doubt? You were there. It would be very cool to hear the whole story and know firsthand.”
What do you hate?
“Judgmental attitudes. I just can not stand for people to be judgmental. I think everyone should put forth their best, but everything is not what it seems. People judge too soon without getting to know the person. If they come into your church and are not dress the way you dress, that doesn’t mean they’re coming to church to learn. Don’t judge when they’re there trying to get help.”

“The true test of character is not how much we know how to do, but how we behave when we don’t know what to do.” -- John Holt

“Oh, heck, yeah.”
If you could go back in time for a week, what time period or year would you visit?
“During the time of Jesus’ resurrection, so I could see and hear it first hand.”
What character in a book or movie would you most like to be?
