Williams is Blount Memorial’s November employee of the month

Mary Williams is Blount Memorial Hospital’s November employee of the month.

A 44-year employee of the hospital, Williams works with hospital patients as a rehabilitation technician for Blount Memorial Rehabilitation.

Her supervisor says, “Mary works with a true team spirit, assisting her co-workers willingly and offering to fill in when others may be off to assure smooth operation of the department. She is very conscientious regarding doing the best job possible. Always respectful of our patients’ privacy and dignity, Mary is a role model for other staff members.”

When asked what she likes best about her job, Williams says, “being able to help people recuperate from surgery and recover from an illness; getting a ‘thank you’ or smile when you make their day better.”

Outside the workplace, the Louisville resident enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, working in her flowers, hiking in the mountains and traveling. She says something might not know about her is, “I have nine brothers and sisters.
