Three Blount Countians have been selected to fill regional posts in the East Tennessee Regional Leadership Association (ETRLA). ETRLA, a program of the East Tennessee Community Design Center, provides a forum for expanding the active leadership within the 16-county region and exploring the resources and potential in the various counties in the East Tennessee region. Local affiliate is Leadership Blount.
County class representatives are selected by the Board of Directors for their respective county leadership programs.
Patti Clevenger with Maryville City Schools (2008 Leadership Blount graduate) and Bill Eanes with the Blount County Partnership (2005 Leadership Blount graduate) have been selected to represent Blount County in the 2009 ETRLA class. Additionally, Denia Lash with Blount Memorial Hospital (2003 Leadership Blount graduate) was selected to join the ETRLA Board of Directors.
“Each year we are fortunate to have quality representatives from Blount County participate in ETRLA,” said Cathy Cate (2000 Leadership Blount graduate), Leadership Blount Executive Director. “These new participants will help others in our region learn more about Blount County and will benefit from the resources they gather during their year. We should all be proud to have Patti, Bill and Denia representing our community,”
