Harvey Mitchell, senior vice president of State of Franklin Savings Bank, Johnson City, was re-elected to the board of directors of Areawide Development Corporation at its annual meeting Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Egwani Farms Golf Club in Rockford.
Based in Alcoa, Areawide Development Corporation markets and processes U.S. Small Business Administration Section 504 loans to small businesses in partnership with banks to help finance capital projects. Board members set ADC policy and approve loan applications.
Having 39 years of banking experience, Mitchell works with small businesses in his bank's service area, helping them with loans and providing them with financial information. Mitchell also sits on the Board of Directors for the Johnson City/Washington County United Way. An East Tennessee State University graduate, he lives in Jonesborough with his wife and has two daughters and one granddaughter.
