The Women of Townsend offered a full day of events on Oct. 23 when they hosted their annual Apple Festival at the Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church.
This festival began in the morning with baked goods, crafts, a rummage sale and other special events. Those activities continued until 5 p.m., when the booths were closed down for a dinner of either steak or turkey.
Lunch was also available during the afternoon.
Money raised at this event was to benefit the group’s mission projects both in the United States and abroad.
