Area 15 Special Olympics got a little help with fund raising recently when Cherokee Health & Fitness sponsored The Big Fall Pull, a deadlift competition for Special Olympics.
The event was held Oct. 25 at Cherokee Health & Fitness, under the guidance of Chip Hultiquist, organizer of the event, and Steve Bright. The test of strength and fitness was enjoyed by competitors and spectators alike. Lifters paid a fee to compete, with the proceeds going to the Area 15 Special Olympics.
Medals were given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each weight division. The top three teams also received medals, based on total points for the team.
