Heritage High School Marching Band takes to field for pre-school band

The journey began with a single step onto the band practice field at Heritage High School.

Eight days later the journey ended with a Parent Show presented by the Heritage High School Marching Band featuring music from Journey (“Patiently,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Faithfully,” “Open Arms,” “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Separate Ways.”)

Under the direction of John Gallagher, James Wilson, Clint Juday, Russell McCurdy, Josh Purvis and Leza Carver, the band performed their first public show at Heritage’s season opener, Friday, Aug. 22.

An added note, since the end of band camp, Mr. James Wilson, Heritage Middle School Band Director and Heritage High School Asst. Band Director, has left for a position at Bearden High School. HHS Band students would like to take the opportunity to thank Mr. Wilson for all that he has done at Heritage High and Middle Schools. He is a great teacher, inspirational leader and all-around nice guy. We all wish him the best of luck in his new position.

The band welcomes assistant directors Clint Juday, Heritage Middle School Band Director, and Russell McCurdy, Eagleton Middle School Band Director.
