Milton Stanley, a 6-foot-2 guard from Oviedo High School in Fla., has committed to continue his education and basketball career at Maryville College. Stanley was a senior standout for the Lions and head coach Ed Kershner this past season. A two-year starter for Oviedo, Stanley averaged 8.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He shot 46.9 percent from the field, shooting 50 percent from the 3-point line. Stanley was named All-Second Team in the Great Florida Shootout tournament and was selected by his teammates as the Most Improved Player his senior year.
“Milton is an outstanding student-athlete who is ready for the college game,” Maryville coach Randy Lambert said. “I like his drive and motivation to excel. He is a slashing, defending wing player who will compete for a varsity uniform next year.”
