Take an April stroll

Art Walk is Friday in Downtown

Last Friday Art Walk just keeps the surprises coming. For April, and perhaps other months as well, a Trolley of a different ilk will join the celebration.

Beginning with April’s Art Walk, which is Friday, April 25, from 5:30 to 8:30, a horse drawn “trolley” will be available to take patrons who want a ride to different venues. The Art Walk Trolley will collect a one-night fee from those interested in hopping on and off the trolley.

“Riders pay one fee and can ride the trolley anywhere on the walk they want and as many times as they need,” said Art Walk coordinator Katie Gamble. “I’m so excited about this! We think the horses will draw a lot of attention and be a fun addition to the walk.”

Businesses downtown are enjoying the increased activity on Last Friday Art Walk evenings, as many stay open late, offer sales and host artists in their stores to encourage shoppers to stop by.
