Becoming Scots

The Maryville College football Scots came away with a big haul last week at Heritage. Maryville coach Tony Ierulli secured commitments from four Mountaineers to become Scots next season.

Heritage quarterback Dylan Morgan, running back Justin Caines, receiver Josh Tanner and defensive back/kick returner Michael Lindsey will each slip on a Maryville jersey next season. Morgan was the Mountaineer quarterback each of the last two seasons, with Caines among the school’s leading rushers. Tanner was a versatile receiver/linebacker sure to be a big plus for the Scots. Lindsey is a fearless kick returner and cornerback, an electrifying player with game-breaking skills.

Ierulli attended a ceremony for the four Mountaineers in the school gymnasium, attended by better than 150 students.
