On an ordinary weekend the Bicentennial Greenbelt Park is a busy place. On Oct. 12-14 it was transformed into a playground for youngsters of all ages as the Foothills Fall Festival was celebrated throughout the weekend.
Children got their faces painted, played laser tag and EuroBungee and watched an Ultimate Canines show that highlight acrobatic dogs. There was even more twisting and tumbling as the Dragon Legend Acrobats showed feats of strength and grace. For highflying fun of their own, youngsters also got to bounce through the air before getting stuck on the Velcro wall.
For the younger set, there was a sand pit and toys to ride. Loren Riddick put on his annual basketball clinic for up-and-coming roundball stars.
The Children’s Adventure Land is an annual part of the Foothills Fall Festival, and the area is free for children and families. Patti Clevenger is the chairperson in charge of planning for Children’s Adventure Land. Adventure Land is sponsored by Green Bank.
