Ronda Gregory was named Blount Memorial Hospital’s August employee of the month.
A 17-year employee of the hospital, Gregory is a registered nurse and case manager. She says she enjoys working with the caliber of professionals assembled at Blount Memorial.
Her supervisor says, “Ronda is a compassionate, caring individual especially in dealing with our patients who face enormous challenges. She is there to assist during a time of need and to support them in whatever lies ahead.”
One of her most memorable experiences on the job was when a woman from Florida became ill while visiting family in East Tennessee and was so impressed with Blount Memorial and the care she received, that her ladies group sent 250 knitted caps for cancer patients.
Outside the workplace, Gregory enjoys reading, playing the piano and gardening.
Gregory says one accomplishment that makes her proud is leaving home for the first time to go to Memphis to get her nursing degree. She was the first in her family to graduate from college.
