Booker named to state panel

Bob Booker with Denso Manufacturing in Maryville was named by Gov. Phil Bredesen to the Tennessee Solid Waste Disposal Control Board.

Booker is Denso’s manager of Environmental Engineering in addition to serving as manager of legal services and communications and community relations.

Booker will serve a four-year term on the Solid Waste board. Members of the board routinely hear appeals of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation actions. It also sets the state environmental fees and publicizes regulations pertaining to hazardous waste, solid waste and Superfund sites. Booker is to serve as a representative on the board for the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce.
