Community Church offers community a festival

The Blount Community Church hosted a fun event for the community on Nov. 18 with a plethora of activities at the Theater in the Park on the Greenbelt.

The afternoon began with activities for the family, including face painting, Frisbee golf, magic by Tom Vorjahan, music and a host of children’s activities. There was plenty of pizza to go around for those who didn’t pack a picnic. The crowd had fun and waited for dark and the main attraction to hit the big screen.

When darkness came, “Cars” roared onto the big screen as families gathered on blankets and in lawn chairs to watch the outdoor movie.

Blount Community Church meets at Alcoa High School auditorium on Sundays, with worship services at 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. and KidStuf at 10:15 a.m. Pastors are Jeff Fuchs and Kenny Crook, and Bradley Robinson is worship leader.
