Seymour man in custody for BB&T bank robbery

A Seymour man was arrested Nov. 16 by Blount County Sheriff deputies and charged with robbery in connection with the robbery of the Chapman Highway location of BB&T Nov. 9.

Michael Anthony Ogle, 28, Banner Street, Seymour, was being held on a $20,000 bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. Nov. 19.

Ogle surrendered at the Knoxville Police Department early this morning, and then brought to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office.

Ogle became a suspect in the robbery of the BB&T on Chapman Highway following an investigation by the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, along with the FBI.
