Blount Women can go ‘Footloose’ at premier shopping event

No need for the women of Blount County to go out-of-town for unique gifts, premier fashions and a one-stop shopping experience. As a fund-raising idea, the folks at Senior Citizens Home Assistance Services of Blount County have put together a shopping extravaganza that offers more than 57 vendors, a fashion show, refreshments and a festive holiday atmosphere at Preservation Plaza, 200 E. Broadway.

Footloose in the Foothills is an evening of shopping and fun for the women of Blount County. The event is from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29.

A fashion show with clothing by Blount’s newest boutique, Boyd Thomas Clothing, will also be part of the fun. Lori Tucker of WATE-TV, Channel 6, is the emcee.

There are door prizes, gift-wrapping and more waiting for eager shoppers. Proceeds benefit Senior Citizens Home Assistance Services. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door, at Anderson Rentals, Designer’s Touch Hair Studio and BankEast on Foothills Mall Drive.

Sponsors are Blount Today, Marriott, Covenant Health, Anderson Rentals and BankEast. For more information, contact Senior Citizens Home Assistance at 865-983-4710.
