Heritage High School Mountaineers converged on parking lot and aisles of the Wal-Mart in Alcoa recently for a pep rally to support the school’s football team.
A crowd of students and faculty showed to support the football players. Cheerleaders performed routines for the crowd, band members played and some of the football players even donned pompoms themselves to fire up those present.
The fun continued inside the store. At one point, several of the players even struck a pose with cheerleaders and coach Tommy Rewis while standing on a display of soft drinks at the rear of the grocery section of the store.
Although the Mountaineers had a tough season, the fans and players enjoyed their pep rally, which was sponsored by Coca Cola and Wal-Mart.
