The 2007 United Way of Blount County campaign is expected to come to a close on Nov. 16.
United Way of Blount County supporters will celebrate the 2007 general campaign with a victory lunch at 12 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Alcoa. The campaign goal this year was $2.15 million, and this year’s campaign theme was “What Matters: Creating Lasting Change.”
United Way of Blount County Campaign Chairman Dave Bennett said it has been a wonderful campaign. “We want to thank the community for all of the support during the campaign, and a special thanks goes to the campaign cabinet, the loaned executives, and the hundreds of campaign coordinators who have made this year’s campaign a great success,” he said.
Anyone interested in attending the luncheon or participating in any event can contact the United Way office at 865-982-2251.
