Pumpkin contest showcases talents

Creativity soared at First Tennessee, and customers got to decided just which financial center or bank department was the best when the bank conducted a pumpkin decorating contest on Halloween.

The bank provided each center and department a pumpkin on Friday, with instructions to have their creation back by 10 a.m. Wednesday. The pumpkins were put on display in the lobby of the Maryville bank at 101 W. Broadway, where customers voted on their top three.

First prize was a pizza party; second a giant cookie and third, a basket of candy.

All 14 Maryville departments and financial centers participated. Entries were received from the Mortgage, Wealth Management, Consumer Lending, Commercial Banking and Retail Banking departments and the Maryville Main, Parkway, E. Broadway, West Broadway, Pellissippi, Chilhowee, Alcoa, Sky City and 411 financial centers.

Taking first place was the Candy Corn pumpkin, with Cinderella coming in second and the Tin Man, third.
