Mike Honeycutt, BB&T senior vice president and regional retail banking manager announced that Scott Parker has been named BB&T’s vice president and sales and service leader for 12 financial centers in Blount County.
“B&T keeps banking decisions local, so we emphasize local personal service,” Honeycutt said. “Scott works with the professionals in our branches to support them as they provide our customers with our wide range of financial products and personalized customer service.”
Mike Baker, head of BB&T operations in Blount County, said Parker’s abilities are a valuable asset to clients.
“Scott Parker is an accomplished, experienced banker who is intimately familiar with the BB&T culture of closely working with clients,” Baker said. “We are very pleased to have Scott as a member of team.”
Parker, 33, has been with BB&T for eight years, five of which were spent as a financial center leader.
Parker graduated in 2000 from BB&T’s management development program. During the past year he served as a BB&T Leadership Development Program advisor, working with college and university candidates found by BB&T to possess the appropriate mix of core capabilities and personal characteristics to achieve success in the banking field.
He said that the training BB&T provides to its employees, coupled with the bank’s philosophy, is reflected in its service-oriented philosophy.
“Blount County is an exciting place to be professionally because it is central to the Tennessee region that last year was cited as the top performing region within BB&T,” Parker said. “I am very happy to be here working with our financial centers on behalf of our customers.”
Parker graduated in 1997 from Appalachian State University with a degree in business management. He and his wife, Adriane, have a young son and daughter.
