The group, which is open to any senior who likes to dance or wants to come and fellowship, dance every Wednesday afternoon and Friday evening at the center. Wednesday dances are 2:30 to 4 p.m., with some dance lessons available as well during that time. There is no charge for the Wednesday dances.
On Fridays, the dances are from 7 to 9 p.m., and there is a $2 cover charge. Once a month, the group has a live band on Fridays, and the cover charge increases to $4.
For April, the live band will be on Friday, April 6. "Millies Jive 5" will entertain the group on that day.
The group is hoping to attract more dancers. The dances are open to the public, and seniors are encouraged to come by and join in the fun.
Darrell Watkins stopped by Everett Senior Center recently and caught
some of the dancing action for Blount Today.
