'More' is more fun!

Sports & More Kids Camp was true to its name. Not your traditional sports camp that concentrates on building skills in one or more sports, the Parks & Rec-sponsored camp held recently includes sports in the line-up, but stretches beyond, offering kids team challenge activities, games, arts, crafts and an environmental segment.

Sports & More is one of several day camps offered in the summer and was held May 29-June 1 and June 5-8 at Everett Recreation Center. With the help and sponsorship of Jackie Mills, realtor with Realty Executives, Price & Associates, the campers were treated to an ice cream treat at the Kids Camp Celebrations and given a T-shirt.

The Kids Camp Celebrations were held each Friday and featured such special events as a visit from Embers, the Arson Dog; visits from the Maryville Fire Department, Maryville Police Department, carnival games and special treats and prizes.

Camp directors Patti Clevenger and Jeremy Russell kept the fun level high at the camps.

Sports & More Kids Camp was for children ages 5 to 12.
